Whats in My Camera Bag
Hello everyone, I was packing my camera equipment ready for a big shoot I had booked and I thought it might be interesting to show what I pack in my bag for shoots.
I love this bag from Tog London, its so spacious and has space for all of my camera gear! The Most important piece of equipment for me is my camera body, I use a Nikon D800 and I LOVE it. My go to lens is the Nikon 24-85mm 1.4 but I always have my sigma 70-300mm 1.4 (great for macro) and my Nikon 50mm 1.4 (great for portraits) with me.
Next is the boring but equally important stuff batteries and SD cards. I always make sure I have plenty of SD cards and fully charged batteries both for my camera body and flash head. There's nothing worse then being on a shoot and you run out of storage space or batteries so its best to have more to be on the safe side.
Next up I have my Nikon speed light external flash, I rarely use this on location but in the winter it can be great for giving extra light on dull days, its also amazing for studio shots.
I also like to take my Olympus OM30 35mm film camera with me. I love this camera so so much but I don't use it often because of how expensive it is and also how difficult it can be to get film developed at the moment. I am looking forward to doing more shoots with this camera in the future though.
Finally I have my tripods and laptop. I take 2 tripods with me, I use a manfrotto tripod for my camera if I need one and I always also take this smaller tripod for my phone. The phone tripod is great for getting behind the scenes if I don't have anyone with me to help with that.
I ALWAYS have my MacBook Pro with me, I think its so important to take your laptop on shoots. If my client is on set I love to get the images up on my laptop screen after each look so they can see how things are looking as we are going along.
Thats everything I take with me on my shoots!
